About Monique
As a writer, screenwriter, tutor and marketing manager, I love writing, exploring ideas and supporting people to express their ideas and improve their writing and appreciation for stories. I am passionate about words, literature, and the creative arts in general and will bring my enthusiasm to whatever a student needs to work on. I have tutored for 5 years and have a student-centered approach where I follow their needs and create sessions to align with their needs. I love working with people and exploring texts and the development of students' ideas and understanding alongside them. I love discussing interesting social/emotional/political ideas in texts with students, and helping students develop more confidence in their own writing through creating supportive spaces, and nurturing skill development. Based in Melbourne, I write creative nonfiction, poetry, reviews and screenplays.

I provide a nurturing space to work on a range of key English and writing skills, supporting students to express their ideas, and improve their ability to write and analyze texts. Classes can cover: Essay writing and writing other forms, essay feedback, text analysis (books, short stories, films, plays, poetry, images etc.), homework and assignment help, creative writing brainstorming and workshopping. Classes are student-centered and revolve around the students' needs. They are collaborative and conversational, going through activities, brainstorming, editing, analyzing together and more. These classes are for Australian high school students years 9-12, university students, and adults seeking writing support. I specialize in VCE and HSC English and Literature but I have experience across year levels and states. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor of Arts, Creative Writing & Media and Communications (First Class Honors) + Graduate Diploma of Psychology + Master of Counselling + 5 years tutoring experience in person and online Australia-wide (Cluey Learning & private) - Experienced working with students experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD.
