About Penny

I am a passionate Violin tutor with a Master’s degree and fifteen years of teaching experience helping students develop technical excellence, musical confidence, and expressive performance skills. My teaching approach combines patience, structured learning, and personalized guidance to support students of all ages and abilities throughout their musical journey.

Throughout my career, I have taught beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced violinists preparing for performances, examinations, and auditions. I enjoy simplifying challenging techniques into manageable steps, allowing students to build confidence while improving tone quality, accuracy, musical interpretation, and overall performance through consistent practice and encouragement.

My goal is to inspire every student to appreciate the beauty and discipline of violin playing while reaching their fullest potential. I believe learning music strengthens creativity, concentration, perseverance, and self-expression, and I am committed to providing engaging lessons that encourage continuous growth, confidence, and lifelong enjoyment of music.

About the lesson

Every violin lesson is carefully planned to suit each student's experience, learning style, and musical aspirations. I focus on developing proper posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm, intonation, and expressive playing through structured activities that create steady improvement while keeping every lesson enjoyable, engaging, and motivating for learners.

Lessons include technical exercises, scales, sight reading, ear training, repertoire development, and performance preparation. I explain concepts clearly and provide practical demonstrations that strengthen technique, musical understanding, and confidence. Regular feedback and personalized practice plans help students overcome challenges while achieving consistent progress with every learning session.

Whether learning violin for personal enjoyment, school performances, graded examinations, or orchestra participation, lessons are adapted to individual goals.
