About Amaya
I am a passionate violin tutor with extensive experience helping students of different ages and skill levels achieve their musical goals. Throughout my teaching career, I have guided learners in strengthening technical abilities while encouraging creativity, discipline, and confidence. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and structure to support long-term success.
I hold a PhD in String Performance and Music Education Leadership, which has provided me with advanced expertise in instrumental instruction, performance techniques, and educational methodologies. My academic background allows me to design engaging lessons that balance technical precision with artistic development, helping students become well-rounded musicians.
Music has always been a significant part of my life, and teaching gives me the opportunity to share that passion with others. I am committed to providing personalized guidance, professional support, and continuous motivation throughout the learning journey. My violin lessons are designed to help students build strong technical foundations while developing confidence, musical expression, and performance skills. I focus on essential areas such as posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm accuracy, intonation, and tone production. Lessons are carefully tailored to each student's goals and experience level, ensuring meaningful progress and an enjoyable learning journey.
Students participate in technical exercises, repertoire studies, sight-reading activities, and music theory sessions that support overall musical growth. I provide structured guidance that helps learners improve technique while developing artistic interpretation and performance confidence. Whether preparing for examinations, recitals, orchestra participation, or personal enrichment, students receive dedicated support throughout their studies.
I believe that learning the violin should be inspiring and rewarding. Regular feedback, progress evaluations, and practical practice strategies help students remain motivated and focused on their objectives.
