About Kenneth
I have spent 35 years teaching and coaching work colleagues and employees of various ethnic backgrounds, including African, Eastern European, Asian, Indian, European,Afrikaans and British. Some of these people could not speak English at all and nor could they read or write. Many , as a result of my coaching , progressed to supervisor and management positions. I have a passion for passing knowledge on to those seeking to learn and have studied through TEFL in order to understand how to professionally teach English to Students in need of improving their language skills. During my working life I have held the position of manager in large corporate companies as well as owned my own company , employing 700 people. My wife and I started this business and over the years built it into a successful company which was situated in rural Africa and employed non English speaking people who lacked the skills required in our industry, which was footwear manufacture. We initially started this business with 5 employees. In order for our business to succeed, we had to teach our staff to be able to communicate in English as well as coach them to do their work correctly. Part of my responsibility as a Manager within a large corporate company was to ensure the training and development of my staff and colleagues. This was achieved by delivering structured, tailored learning plans. This practical experience together with my TEFL qualification ensures my students a fulfilling and successful learning result. I am a family orientated person , married to my wife for 34 years. I enjoy travel, cooking, watching sport on television , playing sport, keeping fit through daily exercise. I have set myself a personal goal to start surfing again in 2020.

Before starting to teach, I take time to find out exactly what my student wishes to learn.
I use the Before , During and After lesson structure IE; I send introductory work to my student before the lesson, then during the lesson we recap on this and build, and the after is a little homework.
My lessons are relaxed and fun.
