Sylvie is a wonderful teacher. Her classes have such good energy, they’re fun and welcoming, and she’s endlessly patient with everyone in the room. She explains things clearly without ever making you feel behind, and she’s genuinely respectful of where each person is in their practice. The music she picks is always great too, which makes a real difference. All levels are truly welcome here. I always leave class feeling better than when I walked in. Highly recommend. ️️️️️

Whenever I see that Sylvie is teaching a class at Asphalt Green (my gym), I immediately sign up!

She’s easily my favorite teacher. I’ve even tried new modalities because I saw she was the one behind that class.

She takes the time to actually adjust you (she always asks before initiating any physical contact). You know that in her class, not only will you actually be learning something, but you will be challenged. You are held to a gently professional standard. I love it. Can’t wait for more!

Sylvie was my first ballet teacher when I started classes as an adult in California. We stayed in touch when she moved to New York and are now doing class over Zoom. It's been such a pleasure to reconnect. Sylvie is patient and encouraging, while still pushing me to grow and improve my technique. I appreciate her ability to diagnose issues and give me specific guidance and exercises to address areas of difficulty or advance my skills. She's very observant and notices things I don't (strengths included!) as a good teacher should. Doing ballet as an adult can be intimidating, but Sylvie makes it a joy. I look forward to our classes and am grateful to have her as a teacher!
