About Jorge

I have spoken native English since I was born, as my family is from New York and I have lived half my life in Miami, FL.

I have participated and won awards in international university-level competitions that require advanced knowledge of the language, to discuss topics of international interest, diplomacy, negotiation, legal and business English, as well as writing official documents, writing and presenting political speeches. These competitions are the Harvard WMUN 2019 and the NMUN 2017 in New York, the largest university competitions in the world.

I have helped many people pass English proficiency tests and pronounce the language better, as well as learn new vocabulary in each session.

I have worked with children and adults. In groups and individually. In person and online. I have taught in almost every possible condition.

I am a young and very friendly dude. I try to make the sessions of interest to the student, to keep the sessions as dynamic as possible.

About the lesson

It is very important to feel interested in the class. For this reason, I always try to design my sessions based on the interests / purposes of the student.

Example, if you are a musician, I will try to rotate the sessions around that so that you feel more committed to the language. If you like cinema, then around that. If you are a lawyer, around that. So on.

I want the students to feel motivated to improve their pronunciation and listening to understand, as well as interest in improving their writing and vocabulary.
