About Sophia
I love to tutor English because I want others to enjoy the subject as much as I do. My teaching style is talkative, engaging, and patient. I would love to create a space where students feel confident asking questions and developing their ideas. I have experience working with children under the age of 10, which has strengthened my ability to simplify concepts and explain them clearly at any level.

I am a current History student at the University of Manchester, and I love teaching creative writing, analytical skills, and sharing my passion for English literature and language. I achieved grade 9s in both English GCSEs and an A at A-Level. All sessions are delivered online, and my teaching style is discussion-based, encouraging conversation and debate rather than traditional listening. I have a particular interest in William Blake, Tennessee Williams, Eugene O’Neill, John Steinbeck, and Jane Austen. Lessons range from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on the student’s needs and concentration.
