About Felicia

I am a native Mandarin speaker, I'm Chinese from Singapore and I have been giving lessons for the past 10 years. I am currently also tutoring Mandarin—written, spoken, and reading. I will help with your pronunciation and make sure you sound like you've grown up speaking Mandarin.

About the lesson

I don't have a fixed teaching method because different people learn differently—this is one very important thing to know when learning. I will cater my lessons to however I feel you will learn best, or however you know you will learn best. If you prefer just conversing in Mandarin to help you practice, then I'll do that. If you prefer me to read to you in Mandarin, I can do that. If I think you'll learn best by listening to Chinese songs, I'll provide you with songs and explain them to you. Whatever the case, the teaching method will be best suited to your learning preferences.

Felicia used to teach me how to speak Mandarin when I was back in University.

She used a very hands-on approached and tailored my learning experience to what suited me which really helped. She caught on that I did better when we spoke about things I was interested in rather than the syllabus and from that she would incorporate what I basically had to learn into an everyday conversation.

I would definitely recommend Felicia as anyone's teacher. She's patient and fun and I importantly she pushes for results which I feel a lot of teachers don't do anymore.
