Encourage student to ask questions and explore their curiosity. In corporate hands-on experiments if possible. Use concept maps to visually organize complex informations.
Lesson plan: introduction to cells and microorganisms (middle school)
introduction: Begins with a short discussion on the importance of cells and microorganisms in life (10 min)
basics: using visual aids to show a basic diagram of cell structure.
Explaining key components of cells
Explaining how they are beneficial (probiotics). ( 15 minutes)
Microorganisms: show images of different microorganisms( bacteria, viruses, fungi, protist)
explaining how some can cause diseases. (15 min)
Activity: Ask students to label the part of the cell on the diagram.
Discuss the difference between plant and animal cells. ( 10 min)
wrap up ( 5min): summarize the key point covered in the lesson.
Assessment: gauge student comprehension through questions and discussion.
Homework: write a short paragraph explaining how microorganisms.
