About Shae
I have tutored ASL for more than 12 years and I always find a way to make a special connection with each student. My goal is to help them gain confidence not by pointing out mistakes but by encouraging them to make mistakes and foster their own learning by stepping outside of their comfort zone and feeling free, not afraid.

I am a Deaf Interpreter with more than 15 years of interpreting experience in the areas of medicine and law. I hold two PhDs in medicine and a Bachelor's in Linguistics. I have taught interpreting students at University level and enjoy figuring out how to tailor every student's session to be unique to them. I actively work to make sure students personally understand in their own unique way.
