About Eleni
Eleni is an actor, voiceover artist, and arts educator based in London. Eleni’s theatre credits include productions of Macbeth, Hamlet, The Comedy of Errors and In A Nutshell for Bell Shakespeare (Sydney Opera House seasons and National Tours), as well as being a member of Bell Shakespeare’s national educational touring ensemble The Players in 2020 and 2021 - performing Shakespeare for students and young people in venues ranging from major capital cities, to schools, theatres and community halls in some of the most remote and regional communities across Australia; Playing Alcibiades in the the 5-star sell-out season of Timon of Athens for Sport for Jove Theatre Company; Performing various pieces of Shakespeare for the Sydney Opera House’s 50th Birthday Celebrations; The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro for Opera Australia; and touring Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau and the United Arab Emirates performing four plays in rep for Poetry In Action. Other theatre highlights include The Maids for That Theatre Co; Ophelia Thinks Harder for Fingerless Theatre; Icarus for Mark Bolotin and NIDA’s Festival of Emerging Artists; Everyone I’ve Ever Loved or Slept With or Both for Revolving Days; pool (no water) for Sydney Fringe Festival which she also produced; Twelfth Night (Heads or Tails) for Virginia Plain; and A Snowflake on the Tongue of Oberon for The Red Square Collective. Eleni’s film credits most recently include playing Lady Macbeth for Bell Shakespeare’s filmed production Macbeth: 360; the comedy web series Tales from 88 for Mustard Lover Films and 9NOW; St Kilda Film Festival Official Selection; sometimes I get these feelings directed by Michael Becker; The Performance and Before She Arrived written and directed by Laura Turner; Eleni’s Confessions directed by Eirena Sapounas; Flickerfest finalist Gecko alongside Tiriel Mora and directed by Reuben Field; and Greek-Australian short It Takes a Village, a Sony Catchlight Film Festival Finalist, directed by Amelia Pieri. Eleni’s voice work includes narration for audiobooks Christmas Joy by Mary-Anne O’Connor for Penguin Random House; Salvage by Jennifer Mills for Pan Macmillan, and narration for the indie short film Time Stamp directed by Eirena Sapounas. As a teaching artist, Eleni has coached students for Stage, Screen, Performing Shakespeare, Voice Acting, and Audition Technique. She works with young people through to adults, and regularly teaches for NIDA - Australia’s national dramatic arts educator; Bell Shakespeare - Australia’s National Shakespeare Company; other Major Theatre Companies including Belvoir St Theatre and Sport For Jove Theatre Company; as well as for various independent educators, including Brent Street, Young Actors Assembly, Village Nation Performing Arts, Southern Cross Catholic College, and more. Eleni also coaches privately, in person and over zoom.
