About Virginia
Hi! I’m an experienced middle school science teacher with a strong background in curriculum development and student-centered learning.
I specialize in helping students in grades 6–8 build confidence and truly understand what they’re learning—not just memorize it. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.

I approach lessons with the end in mind. What are we trying to accomplish? From there, we can work towards the goal with a student-centered, hands-on approach. I aim to aid students with the pedagogy that I am helping them learn HOW to think, and not WHAT to think, so that students take ownership of their knowledge by the end of the lesson.
