About Ilze
Hi, my name is Ilze and I am a qualified teacher from South Africa with experience teaching learners in Grades 4 to 7. I have experience teaching Social Sciences, including both History and Geography, and I enjoy helping learners understand the work in a simple and meaningful way.
I am passionate about working with children and helping them grow in confidence. I believe that learners understand better when the work is explained in a way that connects to real life, and I enjoy making lessons practical and relatable.
I am patient, friendly and committed to creating a positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable to ask questions and take part in the lesson.

My Social Sciences lessons are designed to help learners understand the work in a clear and engaging way. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level and pace, making sure they feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
I cover both History and Geography, focusing on understanding concepts, not just memorizing facts. I use explanations, discussions and simple examples to help learners connect with the content and remember it more easily. I also assist with homework, projects, test and exam preparation.
I create a calm and positive learning environment where learners feel confident to ask questions and share their ideas. My goal is to help learners improve their understanding, build confidence and develop a greater interest in Social Sciences.
