About Leigh
Hello, I’m Leigh L. I have over 24 years of experience teaching U.S. History—specializing in 20th-century and Women’s History—and 13 years teaching U.S. and World History at the community college level. Currently, I serve as a high school assistant principal, where I continue to support students in developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills. My teaching approach emphasizes connecting historical context to modern-day issues, helping students not only master content but also understand the relevance of history in shaping today’s world. With a background that includes 12 years of coaching field hockey, I bring patience, structure, and motivation to my work with students. I’m passionate about making complex material accessible and empowering students to achieve their academic goals in history and the humanities.
