About Jack
I am a young and friendly history postgraduate living in Glasgow. I studied History at the University of Glasgow and achieved a first-class honours in my undergraduate degree and a distinction in my masters.
I am particularly interested in Global History and The British Empire, but having studied a wide range of topics during my time at university, I am confident that I can help my students excel in any area of historical study.

My lessons are relaxed and tailored to suit the different aims that history students might have at all high school and undergraduate levels. First lessons are free and will allow us to get to know each other. Here we will also establish learning objectives (whether for an exam, essay, or anything else) and formulate a plan to achieve these objectives within a set timeframe.
We will focus on historical knowledge, how to analyse and form historical arguments, and work on essay writing techniques that will achieve success. Lessons will be an hour long and will take place online over zoom.
