About Anna

I am a UCL humanities student offering English lessons in North London! I have spent 125 hours teaching English to Chinese children, both individually and in group lessons, as well as teaching disadvantaged London children debating! I also supported an A level English Literature student in achieving a B grade in her final exams, raising her grade from an E. I am TEFL qualified (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) giving me a strong understanding of English grammar. Moreover, I am an Associate of the London College of Music in Speech and Drama, so my knowledge of literature, poetry and drama extends beyond the school curriculum. My degree covers a wide range of topics from literature, politics, sociology, history and international relations so I have wide experience in essay writing.

About the lesson

My degree is politics, sociology and East European studies with literature and international relations modules. I offer lessons from primary to GCSE aged students! In our lessons, we will look at the existing work of the student and highlight problem areas, be that grammar, spelling or essay structure. Once this is identified, I can give worksheets to explain and practice grammar or spelling points- once this is understood, we will put what is learnt into practise! If the problem lies in essay structure, I will guide them step by step using examples on how to develop their essay structure- this can them be put into practise! I will mainly use worksheets from Pearson or other resources, including my own examples.
