About Garnon

RCSSD-trained and with over 20 years’ experience across TV, Theatre, and Radio, I bring a deep, practical understanding of performance to every session. As a full-time tutor at Italia Conti Academy for 6 years (BA & Cert HE courses), I’ve helped hundreds of students unlock their unique strengths. My students have gone on to train at top drama schools including RADA, LAMDA, Mountview, RCS, Arts Ed, Bird, Urdang, Rose Bruford, RWCMD, RAM, LSMT, and Italia Conti. Whether you're preparing for auditions or refining your craft, I tailor each session to your individual needs. With extensive experience coaching monologues and songs — and having auditioned thousands of candidates myself — I know what panels look for, and how to help you deliver it.

About the lesson

I trained on the 3-year BA Classical Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and have worked in the industry for over 20 years across TV, theatre, and radio. TV credits include Hollyoaks, Holby City, Da Vinci's Demons, Stella, Tales of Pleasure Beach, Doctors, All but One, and Doctor Who. Stage work includes productions with the RSC, National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, and National Theatre Wales. I’ve also performed on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Wales, and with Big Finish. For the last six years, I have been a full-time teacher at Italia Conti Academy, working on both the BA and Cert HE courses. On the foundation course, I’ve coached hundreds of students on their monologues and songs, and many have gone on to train at top drama schools like RADA, LAMDA, Mountview, RCS, Arts Ed, Bird, Urdang, and more. I specialise in: Audition Technique Acting Through Song Acting for Camera Monologue Rep My coaching is always tailored to the individual – helping you build confidence, make bold choices, and bring your unique self to every role/audition.

Garnon has taught me for acting through song and monologue acting, and my confidence grew massively with his help. He is very knowledgeable and has a great professionalism yet still is approachable and friendly. His different exercises made me consider things I never had before about my performing skills and traits as a person and how confronting parts of myself can aid me as a person and performer. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you Garnon.

He is honest with feedback. He wants the best for you so gives you the corrections to get better but gives the praise where it is due. To me, this shows he does care and wants the best for his students which you don’t always get in tutors.

Garnon has an incredible grasp of his craft of acting I have learnt so much from him over the time he has taught me . His lessons have always felt like a supportive safe place I can take risks with my text and try things from a different perspective his feedback is always helpful and makes me have more insight to my character . I had 1-1 lessons with Garnon for a year. He really helped me with my confidence especially with my Shakespeare pieces. I’m now at Royal Central on the 3 year acting course. Can’t recommend enough.
