About Yvone

I am a native Swahili speaker born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. I am passionate about teaching my language and culture to foreigners from around the world. I have experience helping expats and tourists learn Swahili quickly to live and connect in Kenya. I am friendly, patient, and I make learning Swahili very fun and easy. I love meeting new people and sharing the beauty of Kiswahili and Kenyan culture with you. Welcome to my class!

About the lesson

I offer fun, practical, and conversational Swahili lessons for foreigners, expats, travelers, and complete beginners who want to speak real Kiswahili used daily in Nairobi.

My teaching method is simple: no boring grammar memorizing. We focus on speaking from day one with real-life situations like greetings, market shopping, matatu directions, ordering food, and making Kenyan friends.

Each lesson is personalized to your level and goals. I provide notes, audios, and homework after every class. Lessons are online via Zoom or Google Meet with flexible hours for USA and Europe time zones. Karibu!
