About Lexie
When I was in middle and high school, I had a really rough time. I struggled both emotionally and academically. In my freshman year of high school, I met an amazing teacher who reached out to me and helped me feel confident in the classroom, and that changed my life. After meeting her, my confidence grew and my academic scores really picked up. I now have two college degrees and am a part of a few honors societies. It is never too early or late to reach out for help. One teacher made all of the difference for me, and it was because she cared. I care, and I want to help you feel comfortable and confident in the classroom, it's what you deserve.

I am entering my first year as a teacher at a high school in Queens. During Student Teaching, I had the extraordinary opportunity to work with diverse student populations, which helped me create lessons that are not only relevant, but also lessons that have multiple entry points for each and every student to learn the subject without discomfort or difficulty. I was specifically given the opportunity to work with English Language Learners, levels ranging from Entering to Commanding, students with learning disabilities, speech and language disabilities, and students with IEPs and 504s of all other kinds. Through this experience, I was able to expand my understanding of the complexities of learning for students, and was able to implement strategies and skills into each lesson that allowed students to understand each lesson without being left behind.
All of my lessons focus on stimulation-based learning, culturally responsive instruction, social-emotional learning, and communication.
