My approach as a tutor centers on making Social Studies engaging, relatable, and student-driven. I use a mix of guided discussion, real-world examples, and active questioning to encourage critical thinking and connection to the material. A typical lesson begins with a quick review, followed by interactive instruction tailored to the student’s current curriculum or goals—whether it’s improving essay writing, preparing for an AP exam, or understanding complex historical concepts. I also include reflection questions to reinforce understanding. What sets me apart is that, as a recent graduate, I’m close in age to my students, which helps me communicate in a way they connect with. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and early college students looking for a supportive, clear, and culturally informed approach to Social Studies.
