About Jasmine
I am a nurse, teacher, learner, and runner who loves to drink good coffee, usually accompanied by a cake or pastry. I also enjoy playing team sports like basketball and netball, drawing, painting, reading, and indulging in various foods. For now, I am living and working as a teacher in Tokyo, I found great joy and satisfaction in guiding people to grow and grasp concepts they previously struggled with. This helped remind me of my passion for teaching and guiding others.
My initial journey into nursing was driven by a desire to help people. In this field, I discovered a versatile, flexible, social, and challenging career that constantly offers new opportunities. What I love most about nursing is its endless variety and potential for career growth. Most people have 3-7 career changes in their lifetime, but as a nurse, you can experience all of that within one degree. Nursing can lead to opportunities in management, education, sales, research, development, writing, and many other fields.
My experiences in nursing have taken me down many unexpected paths, some of which I did not initially consider. This diverse background enhances my ability to teach and mentor others, helping them navigate their own unique journeys. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences, guiding others to achieve their goals, and develop a strong relationship with continuous learning and professional growth.

As a highly experienced Registered Nurse with over 7 years in clinical and management roles, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical skills to my tutoring sessions.
My lessons are designed to be flexible and tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, ranging from a minimum of 30 minutes to a maximum of 1.5 hours per block, with the possibility of multiple blocks in a single day to ensure adequate breaks and optimal learning.
I employ a diverse array of methods to deliver information, ensuring that each session is engaging and effective. This includes discussions, real-life scenarios, videos, and visual diagrams. I value individual needs and learning styles and am open to using other learning platforms and materials students find effective.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 7 years of experience, I have extensive hands-on experience in various clinical settings. I have worked on nursing pool teams, which has given me experience in many areas, including emergency departments, children’s wards, general medical, and general surgical. My main specialty area is Orthopaedic Surgery, having worked in this area for 5 years in clinical and management positions. Becoming a senior member of the team allowed me to gain valuable teaching experience, guiding student nurses on placements and junior nurses on the ward. I have furthered my teaching experience by working as an online tutor to help foreign nurses gain qualifications to work in Australia and other English-speaking countries. Additionally, I have more than 2 years of practical experience teaching English to adults and children.
My lessons are aimed at teaching nursing students, both Diploma and Bachelors levels, as well as VCE students studying health and biology subjects aspiring to pursue health-related studies or careers.
My lessons are designed to build a strong foundation in nursing knowledge, enhance practical skills, and foster a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
