In my tenure as an educator, I have always strived to inspire confidence, develop academic skills, challenge my students and produce the overall desire to learn.

I make it a point to assess and build on the knowledge the students already possess when we first meet. It is very important to expand their present knowledge, skill level, and support the process of achievement and develop Higher-Order Thinking Skills. I make sure to help guide and support student learning by following Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core Curriculum.
Utilizing Hands-on, Project, Inquiry, and Evidence-based learning techniques helps to inspire student participation and develop their confidence of Engagement during lessons.
I understand that no two students are totally alike. Strategies must be added to lesson plans to guide learning.
The art of Differentiated Teaching Techniques is vital to any student's success and achieving mastery of all subject matter material. The Art of Pedagogy is my passion.
I use various types of technology, including PowerPoint Presentations, Khan Academy, YouTube, Study.com, The Biology Corner, The Science Spot, Subject Matter Videos, Accessing, assessing, and understanding Research Data. I also look at new Learning Tools and address changes in Science and Math Curriculum.
Learning is an active adventure and should also be fun, and hopefully amazing.

I have developed into a highly qualified and experienced instructor. For over 27 years, I have taught in areas of SPED, served diverse and at-risk students.
I will continue to develop my teaching skills in areas of AP Biological Science, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Chemistry, Medical Biology and Mathematics. I believe in utilizing technology in all of my classrooms. Since retiring, I have been employed as a Virtual Science and Math Instructor working Nationally and Internationally.
My resume highlights my ability, knowledge, and expertise in teaching in the areas of Science and Mathematics. Throughout my 27 years of practice, I tutor and teach Online and On Ground Project, Evidence, and Inquiry-based learning. I earned my Single Subject Science Credentials and Master's in Math Curriculum and Education Virtually.
I have taught High school Biology Credit Recovery and
Summer school Biology classes at Oceanside and El Camino High school. I have also taught College level Biology Classes and tutorials. I have over 10 years experience teaching Crime Scene Investigation (C.S.I.) and Introduction to Basic Forensics.
I am also certified through Amplify Science and Project Lead The Way (PLTW).
I have served as an AVID teacher and been a member of School Leadership Committees, School Site Councils, and Curriculum Advisory Committees.
Several of my students have gone on to accomplish in areas of higher education and entered into successful viable careers.
I will continue to guide and support student progress and success by investing in the use of innovative concepts, the use of practical technology, best practices, and strive to better understand research-based data, to better support student overall higher-order critical thinking skills levels.
