Hi there! My name is Banan. Being Deaf, I use American Sign Language and English natively. I am able to instruct students starting from the very beginning. Please feel free to message me!

About Banan
About me... I am Deaf and I wear two cochlear implants, one on each side. I have a bilateral hearing loss and am a native user of American Sign Language. I am also a native user and fluent in English as well—bilingual in ASL and English. Back in high school, I tutored a lot of students. One thing I did was design and launch a brand-new program that makes academic tutoring for Deaf students far more accessible. These kids found it difficult to participate in the main tutoring program since their tutor was not sure how to communicate with them. I didn't want a communication breakdown to keep them from excelling academically. In order to make the world more accessible and to provide my students with that extra language, I decided to start instructing American Sign Language. I am very passionate about ensuring my students get to the best of their ability!

Happy you're here!! I am an experienced tutor with an ASL curriculum that has been developed that goes from the very basics to more advanced levels. My tutoring sessions for my students will go at the pace that best matches them individually. If we need to slow down, or pick up the pace, we will do that!
