About Hafez

I have worked at the Diaconescu lab at UCLA, where I learned how to synthesize air-sensitive ferrocene-based complexes and use advanced techniques like glovebox and Schlenk line methods. I have also mentored high school students and grad students in various laboratory skills, showing my ability to teach different learners. Moreover, I have been a Chemistry Tutor at the STEM Center, Los Angeles City College, where I improved my communication and pedagogy, offering both individual and group tutoring. My teaching style focuses on conceptual understanding and interactive learning, making chemistry easy and fun for college students.
