About Peter
I'm a philosophy academic with seven years experience teaching at university level, and some experience as a private tutor and Academic Writing Mentor. My tuition students' grades have always improved compared to their predicted grades. I'm especially good at making complex ideas accessible and interesting. I'm able to provide tuition on most topics in philosophy, though my specialist areas are ethics, moral philosophy, social and political philosophy, epistemology and metaphysics, early modern philosophy and philosophy of action.

I've worked with students from GCSE to undergraduate level, and adapt my teaching methods to suit my students. In general, I take a discursive approach - which means that lessons should be more like a conversation than a lecture, and I encourage students to ask questions, be critical, and not take anything for granted.
