About Ingrid
Hello, it's so very nice to meet you! My name is Ingrid though I often go by my middle name, Dámaris. I am originally from Mexico City and have lived in the United States for over 16 years. I have been a musician since I was a little girl in Mexico, and have continued to study music throughout my life. For more than three years, I have been a certified piano instructor. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I love to see new musicians grow and flourish in their abilities.

As a teacher, I value patience, encouragement, and practicality in every lesson. My goal is not only to help students develop strong technical skills but also to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music. I incorporate music theory naturally into each class, helping students understand the structure and language behind the pieces they play.
I am experienced with several established piano methods, including Alfred’s Method, Piano Adventures, and John Thompson’s Course. However, I especially enjoy using Piano Safari with younger students because of its creative and well-rounded approach. Every student learns differently, so I design individualized lesson plans that match their current skill level, learning style, and personal goals. My mission is to help each student grow confidently as a musician while discovering the joy and expression that music brings.
