About Dina
Many piano students learn individual pieces but still struggle to play fluently, understand harmony or work independently. My teaching is designed to build the underlying skills that make progress transferable.
I teach piano as a complete musical language, combining technique, aural awareness, theory, harmony, rhythm and creative application. Students learn not only how to play individual pieces, but how to understand, interpret, adapt and create music with increasing independence.
I work with dedicated beginners, returning adult pianists, examination students and creative musicians. Lessons are structured around each student’s current ability, goals and available practice time, with clear technical and musical priorities between sessions.
I have taught more than 200 students internationally. Students I have supported have achieved distinctions in ABRSM examinations, received offers from Berklee College of Music and developed original songs and EPs. One student’s original song was selected for recommendation on StreetVoice’s Discover Music page following my mentoring throughout the development of the song and EP.
I began classical music training at the age of five, studying piano, percussion, music theory and aural training. Throughout my early development, I participated in numerous classical competitions in piano, percussion and ear training, receiving diplomas and awards. I also attended specialist seminars and workshops in classical and jazz music, including classical workshops led by Manana Kandelaki and jazz workshops led by Boško Petrović and Emil Spányi.
I attended Berklee College of Music on a tuition scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude before completing an MA in Audio Production at the University of Westminster.
My professional career began when I signed to Croatia Records at the age of sixteen. I have since achieved three No.1 singles on HRT’s national Top 20 chart and received the 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Award for New/Emerging Composer and the 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Award in Jazz — Smooth/Cool. My work has also been featured on BBC Radio.
I have delivered workshops and masterclasses at University of the Arts London and have taught internationally, including as a guest lecturer in Japan. I am the Founder and Creative Director of 111 Music Group and the founder of DR Music Academy, my online music-education platform.
I work particularly well with:
dedicated beginners seeking strong technical and musical foundations;
adults returning to piano after a break;
intermediate players who feel technically, theoretically or harmonically stuck;
ABRSM and Trinity students aiming for high marks;
applicants preparing for Berklee, conservatoire or university music auditions;
songwriters and producers seeking greater fluency and harmonic understanding at the piano;
emerging artists who need structured guidance with their original work.
Prior experience is not essential. Regular practice, curiosity and openness to detailed feedback are.
The listed Superprof rate applies to piano, theory and musicianship tuition. Songwriting, arrangement, music production and artist-development mentoring are specialist services offered at a separate rate, confirmed before booking.

All new students begin with a free 30-minute online consultation and assessment.
This introductory session allows me to understand your current level, musical background, goals, interests and available practice time. I will identify your main areas for development and recommend the most suitable pathway.
This is not a full lesson. It is a focused assessment designed to establish whether my teaching approach and your goals are a good fit.
Full lessons are 60 minutes and are booked at the listed hourly rate. Each lesson is structured around clear technical and musical objectives. You will leave with written lesson notes, theory connected directly to practical work, and a defined practice plan for the week ahead.
Pathway 1 — Strong Foundations
Beginner to intermediate
Suitable for:
dedicated beginners;
students developing reliable technical foundations;
adults returning to piano after a break;
ABRSM and Trinity examination students.
Areas of study may include:
piano technique and coordination;
reading fluency;
rhythm and pulse;
scales, arpeggios and chord foundations;
practical music theory;
repertoire across classical, contemporary and jazz styles.
The aim is to develop secure technique, musical understanding and the ability to practise independently.
Pathway 2 — Advanced Musicianship and Creative Piano
Intermediate to advanced
Designed for students who already play and want to deepen their musical understanding or use the piano more creatively.
Suitable for:
intermediate and advanced pianists;
GCSE and A-Level music students;
multi-instrumentalists;
songwriters and producers developing their keyboard skills;
students interested in harmony, improvisation and composition.
Areas of study may include:
functional harmony and chord systems;
chord voicings and voice leading;
lead sheets, chord symbols and accompaniment;
improvisation and stylistic vocabulary;
harmonisation and reharmonisation;
melodic development;
composition and arranging foundations;
analytical listening and score study.
At this level, the piano becomes a practical tool for musical fluency, analysis and creative independence rather than only a means of learning repertoire.
Pathway 3 — Artist Mentoring and Original Music Development
This is a separate, limited-capacity service for committed singer-songwriters, composers, producers and emerging artists developing original work.
Sessions may include:
songwriting and structural feedback;
arrangement and production guidance;
artistic direction;
development of musical identity;
portfolio and repertoire development;
preparation for recording or release;
longer-term creative planning.
This pathway is intended for serious creatives who are actively developing work and are prepared to apply detailed feedback between sessions.
The listed Superprof rate applies to standard piano, theory and musicianship lessons within Pathways 1 and 2.
Songwriting, music production and artist-development mentoring involve additional preparation and are priced separately. The rate and recommended format are confirmed after the initial consultation and before any specialist session is booked.
Lessons take place online via Zoom. I work with a limited number of regular students so that each student receives consistent direction, detailed feedback and continuity between lessons.

Perfect! After the first lesson, I decided to keep learning with Dina because she is attentive, excellent, and directive.
She explains things clearly, follows up to make sure I really understand, and gives practical tips that make sight-reading much easier, boosting my confidence to play a difficult piece.
She’s a talented, supportive teacher!
Highly recommended!- A diligent and committed student with a clearly developed sense of rhythm from his earlier drum playing, as well as strong technical skills and a good musical ear from his self-taught approach. While there is still room for improvement in sight-reading, he has already shown progress after a few months of training, and his dedication will be a great asset to his musical journey.Dina's response :
Perfect! Dina is great. She listens and adapts lessons to exactly what you want. She’s knowledgeable and skilled. Excited to continue and would definitely recommend!
Excellent! Difficult to say as it was only a trial lesson.
She seemed attentive and explained things well. Patient and understanding.Perfect! I got a very clear sense of direction from the first lesson and it was fun and engaging.
Perfect! Dina is an incredibly talented and dedicated tutor. I cannot recommend her enough! After having trialed various teachers online and in person, I can confirm she brings a unique and effective approach to teaching that sets her apart.
From the beginning, I appreciated her structured approach to lessons. She ensures a holistic learning experience by covering theory, scales, piano grade 1 pieces, and even incorporates audio training. This comprehensive method has significantly strengthened my foundation and understanding of music.
What truly stands out is her diligence in following up on progress. She provides constructive feedback and encouragement, fostering a positive and motivating environment. This personalized touch makes the learning journey enjoyable and rewarding.
Additionally, she leaves room for personal expression by allowing me to explore fun pieces of my choice. This flexibility adds an element of joy to the lessons, making the entire experience well-rounded.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a piano tutor who is not only skilled but also committed to your growth as a musician, look no further. Five stars without hesitation!- Jasmin was very open and receptive to the new information during our trial lesson, but most importantly her need for a structured lesson, accountability, and growth is very strong which is crucial for the improvement she seeks. I'm sure with her determination and ability to absorb the materials quickly she will progress without a doubt.Dina's response :
Perfect! Dina is the best piano teacher I’ve had. She’s an accomplished musician in her own right, yet extremely modest, and explains everything really clearly. Lessons are structured and fun, and it has made me want to spend time in between each lesson to get better. She has lots of great tips and advice and follows up with clear practice instructions along with videos and recordings. I would highly recommend her
Perfect! Dina is an amazing tutor. She is friendly, punctual and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Perfect! Dina is an amazing tutor. She gives me and my girlfriend lessons and although we are both very different and are studying different styles, she has managed to make us both super excited for every lesson. Could not recommend her enough.
- Lessons with Dunni are really enjoyable as he is very quick and talented with all the materials we go through, I believe his passion and curiosity for music can take him a long way on his path!Dina's response :
Perfect! Being an educated musician and occasional music teacher myself, I can be difficult but Dina is as patient as she is talented. It's great to learn from her! I appreciate how humble she is because she builds upon what I already know instead of trying to make me "start again", which has happened to me with other teachers.
- Valentin's musical knowledge is very broad which helps him in learning new instruments quickly and efficiently. His focus on implementing the new information and ability to translate his existing skills to different concepts is highly constructive and accurate which made our first lesson very productive and enjoyable!Dina's response :

Dina is an amazing young teacher with a lot of experience and patience. Her wide knowledge and intuitive abilities maker her one of a kind teacher and a wonderful and inspiring person to be around. I recommend her wholeheartedly as a teacher to all aspiring piano students.
Lela KaplowitzI first met Dina through her music (check out her album 'Miracles') and then met her in London through the music circles. I'm a drummer, recording engineer and producer, constantly learning about music. At some point I approached her with a number of different learning needs around the piano and harmony, and the way she integrated all of this within the first class was mind-blowing. She left me with focussed homework assignments and feeling excited and encouraged to practice! Dina really knows her stuff, teaches it well and listens to her students' interests. Ace teacher!
Dina is an excellent pianist and a piano teacher. She is very kind and patient and great at playing any type of genre (Especially Jazz and Classical Music)
I would like to highly recommend Dina as a very capable and talented teacher for your children and yourself.Dina has literally changed my life. She has brought back to me a love of music I had forgotten I possessed - and she has done this not only by the quality of her teaching (on both piano and guitar) but by the care and attention she gives to her lessons, the encoragement she offers and the calmness she exudes - she is a fantastic teacher and talent and I feel very fortunate to know her. In my humble opinion if you want to learn (or relearn) piano (or guitar) or want to offer music to a child or learn some of the skills of composition, look no further than Dina.
Many thanks. AlanDina is an experienced multi-instrumentalist who works daily on projects that include jazz, orchestral, big-band arrangement, television, film, pop and electronic music, to name a few.

She can adapt to any knowledge level and make your learning experience fun and usable. Without any doubt, I would recommend her as one-on-one teacher and as a group teacher to. She has world-wide real music experience, she has played with all kind of ansamble and as a solo artist. Berkeley gave her best music basic knowledge which she improved greatly. Man, as I am writing this, I think about booking few more hours with Dina. Book her before it is too late.
Very good teacher. Very important music information. I have finished my song using just knowledge from two our lessons. Good emotions. I like her music.
Dina is one of the most hardworking people I know. She dedicated her life to what she loves the most: music. I'm amazed at how easy everything becomes when she explains it. Dina has a gift and she's always ready to share it, be it to beginners or advanced students.
A wonderful tutor and a dedicated teacher that is always ready to exchange ideas with others. No only does she provide lessons for piano, she also plays the guitar and drums! I'll never forget how much funnier and interesting piano lessons became since I met her. Always flexible in her approach to students and ready to adapt to their various levels. Truly a Superprof I'd recommend to everyone!
Dina is dedicated teacher with lots of motivation to give to others. Apart from giving to the students what they need in terms of knowledge, she applies different approach to each of them. She is a great person!
Dina and I are both music teachers and we often exchange ideas of teaching.
She is one of the greatest teachers that I know because her high musicality allow her to be flexible in any levels of students and find the best ways to approach them. She always finds materials which are both practical and fun.
She has amazing ears that can pick up songs on the spot and can accompany which most of the classical teachers can't do. I highly recommend her for students with various interests!Dina is a wonderful tutor!
She has knowlage, patience and enhusiasm so she is the best choice for anyone who wants to learn to play any instrument because she plays piano, guitar and drums!
She is a great listener and you can always talk to her about anything!
Dina has been teaching me piano for just over a year, and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher! Lessons with her are always fun, but productive, and I have definitely become a better piano player thanks to her. Although our lessons mainly focus on the songs I want to learn, we also spend time working on music theory.If you're a casual player who wants to learn how to play your favourite songs or are a more serious player looking to complete the piano grades, I highly recommend her!
