About Siri
I am a dedicated piano instructor with over ten years of formal piano training and extensive performance experience in classical, jazz, and blues. I have studied piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum and have participated in competitions and regional performances. In addition to my musical background, I have experience mentoring and teaching children as a piano mentor in North Carolina, which has helped me develop a patient, structured, and encouraging teaching style. My lessons balance discipline with creativity. I believe strong fundamentals, consistent practice, and clear goals are essential for progress, while tailoring each lesson to a student’s interests and learning style. I integrate music theory, technique, and repertoire to help students understand not just how to play, but why the music works. To support accountability, I use daily practice check-ins to encourage effective, consistent practice habits. I am passionate about building confident musicians. I guide students toward performance opportunities, RCM examinations, and local competitions when appropriate, helping them develop both musical skill and self-assurance. My goal is to create a supportive yet structured learning environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and proud of their progress.

My teaching style is structured, disciplined, and highly adaptable to each student’s learning style and interests. I integrate strong music theory with technique, repertoire, and thoughtful explanations, encouraging students to ask questions and think deeply about music. I emphasize consistency and accountability by using daily practice check-ins through the Marco Polo app to ensure students are practicing effectively. What sets me apart is my experience mentoring and teaching children as a piano mentor in North Carolina, along with my commitment to building confident performers. I provide guidance for RCM exams and help students explore performance and competition opportunities in their local area. My lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate students, especially children and teens ages 5–18 who want structured, engaging, and goal-oriented piano instruction.
