About Eira
I hold an M.Mus in Piano Performance and Music Education and have 8 years of experience teaching piano to learners of all ages and abilities. My teaching philosophy emphasizes combining technical precision with musical expression, cultivating well-rounded pianists. I create a supportive environment that encourages experimentation, creative exploration, and personal expression while maintaining solid technical foundations. Lessons include scales, exercises, repertoire, sight-reading, improvisation, duet work, and performance practice. I provide constructive feedback, personalized guidance, and strategies to ensure continuous improvement in both technical skill and musicality. My approach balances discipline with creativity, promoting steady growth and confident performance. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore diverse repertoire, and study innovative pedagogical methods to enhance my lessons.
