About Mila
I’m a piano tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition, with an emphasis on piano. Alongside teaching, I actively work as a composer and performer, which keeps my approach fresh and creatively driven. I believe music is a lifelong journey—one that invites exploration, emotion, and personal expression. My passion lies in helping students create their own sound through improvisation and spontaneous composition. Whether you’re a beginner finding your first melodies or an advanced player seeking creative freedom, I tailor each lesson to your needs. I guide students in building strong musical foundations while encouraging original thought. We explore how harmony, rhythm, and phrasing come together in the moment. Improvisation is more than playing freely—it’s about listening, responding, and shaping music in real time. I help students gain the confidence to do just that. My teaching approach blends structure with creativity to help you express your ideas at the piano. I guide students through songwriting, composing melodies, and building strong harmonic foundations. You’ll learn how to craft intros, outros, and musical themes that give your pieces identity. Whether you’re sketching your first tune or shaping full compositions, we focus on developing musical ideas that feel personal and clear.
I work especially well with Therapy Seekers and Jazz Pianists who want to explore emotion, story, and spontaneity in their playing. Lessons are tailored to your pace and needs, always encouraging and supportive. We’ll study how harmony creates mood and how melody drives meaning. You’ll experiment with song forms, chord progressions, and motif development. I also introduce tools for improvisation and emotional interpretation.
Through consistent feedback and guided discovery, you’ll find your own compositional voice. Each session helps you move closer to creating something truly yours. With time and passion, you'll compose your musical legacy—one note at a time.
