1. Student-Centered Approach: I prioritize understanding your goals and preferences. Whether you want to play classical pieces, pop songs, or improvisational jazz, I’ll customize our curriculum to match your interests.
2. Step-by-Step Guidance: I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, making it easier to grasp techniques and theory. You’ll learn proper finger placement, scales, and chords through practical exercises that reinforce your skills.
3. Interactive Learning: Each lesson includes a mix of hands-on practice, listening exercises, and music theory. This balanced approach helps you develop a comprehensive understanding of music.

Typical Lesson Plan

1. Warm-Up: Each lesson begins with finger exercises to build dexterity and strength.
2. Technique Focus: We’ll spend time on specific skills, such as scales, arpeggios, or rhythm exercises.
3. Repertoire Building: You’ll work on pieces that excite you, applying techniques learned during the lesson.
4. Theory Integration: I incorporate music theory relevant to the pieces you’re learning, helping you understand the “why” behind what you’re playing.
5. Cool Down: We’ll wrap up with a review of what we covered and set goals for the next lesson.
